What is baptism?
Baptism is an outward act of a person’s inward confession of faith and acceptance of Christ as savior. It is symbolic of Christ’s death and resurrection, and the washing away of our sins. A person chooses to be baptized out of obedience to Jesus, to testify of the work of Christ Jesus in their life and to fully identify with His death, burial and resurrection.

Jesus commanded His followers to be baptized as an act of obedience (Matt. 28:19)! It also serves as a testimony of your faith in Christ and your new life in Him (2 Cor. 5:17).
Baptism represents spiritual cleansing, the washing away of sin (Acts 22:16), and the believer’s union with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection (Rom. 6:3–4)! It signifies dying to your old self and being raised to new life in Christ.
Baptism is for those who have personally trusted in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior! We practice believer’s baptism, meaning it follows an individual’s conscious decision to follow Jesus (Acts 2:38).
No, baptism itself does not save you. Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone (Eph. 2:8–9)! Baptism is the first step of obedience in following Jesus and a public testimony of the salvation you have already received.
No, we do not practice infant baptism. Instead, we believe in dedicating children to the Lord and waiting until they are old enough to make a personal decision to follow Christ and be baptized!
We baptize by full immersion in water, following the example of Jesus and the practice of the early church (Matt. 3:16; Acts 8:38–39)! Immersion best represents the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.
