From Death to Life

What words would you use to describe your life before becoming a follower of Jesus? Broken? Searching? Rebellious? Empty? Wandering? Paul uses just one word in Ephesians 2:1: dead. In this sermon from Ephesians 2:1–7, Pastor Dan walks through the sobering reality of our spiritual condition apart from Christ—and the breathtaking hope of the gospel. Because according to Scripture, we weren’t merely struggling spiritually or in need of self-improvement… we were dead in our sin and unable to save ourselves. But then come two of the most hope-filled words in all of the Bible: “But God…” This message will challenge the way you think about salvation, grace, and what it truly means to become alive in Christ! Whether you’ve followed Jesus for years or are still searching for hope, this sermon is a powerful reminder that Christianity is not about making bad people better—it’s about God bringing dead people to life. We were dead in sin… but God made us alive with Christ!
