Living Redeemed in a Broken World

How does God deal with our sin and the brokenness of the world? Too often we view God’s mercy as a "pardon" for a criminal, fearing that one more mistake might exhaust His patience. But Ephesians 1:7–10 shows us that our redemption is actually a "purchase"—a transaction settled by the blood of Christ that makes us sons and daughters rather than slaves. Because this grace was lavished on us with divine wisdom and insight, your security doesn't depend on your performance, but on the finished work of the Cross. You don’t have to "clean yourself up" to come to God; you simply have to trust the One who has already paid your way home!
